Frequently Asked Questions

Does this RAMS cover gas-connected appliances such as cookers?

The RAMS includes general connection safety controls, but any gas appliance connection must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer separately, in line with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

Do I need to keep a copy of this RAMS on site?

Yes. HSE guidance expects a copy of the RAMS — along with the completed sign-off section — to be available on site for the duration of the work, and reviewed if site conditions change.
